Fish consumption and Sociodemographic factors on Cardiovascular Risk Lipid Profiles
Abstract
The role of blood lipids and cholesterol in lipoprotein fractions in predicting morbidity and mortality associated with cardiovascular diseased people have been well recorded. The beneficial effect of fish consumption and socio demographic factors on several biomarkers of cardiovascular disease risk factors such as LDL-C, HDL-C, triglyceride, total serum cholesterol was assessed by this study. The type of fish consumed (marine, brackish, and fresh) by individuals results in differences in serum lipid levels. Participants for this experiment were selected from healthy and pre-existed CVD people and the fish consumption pattern and amount of fish consumed along with sociodemographic factors were assessed.
